MY INSIGHTS INTO ONE MONTH WITHOUT DRINKING ALCOHOL
NON-ALCOHOL TREND
It is definitely here to stay. I didn’t understand value props for pricey products like Seedlip, etc until now.
ITS FOR YOU & BUT ALSO FOR THEM
It’s been surprisingly easy to avoid alcohol. I don’t miss it and I used to be proud of making my own cocktails at home.
What I’ve learned is that, 1) mocktails are particularly important because it puts others around you at ease if you have something to carry in your hands. 2) mocktails help you “take the edge off” being tempted to drink in case there aren’t any other available appetizing beverages, 3) it’s cheaper – $5 versus $16 at a bar, 4) no hangovers 5) no drunk texting or embarrassing moments.

CONVENIENCE
I recently heard a non-alcoholic bar opened up in Brooklyn. This is nice – because you get to enjoy flavors at a place specialized for that. However, all bars should start including drinks like kombucha, cbd seltzers, etc for non-alcohol drinkers. Maybe non-alcoholic cider? Low-sugar ginger beer? Canned mocktails?
PRICE
The current market need is providing alcohol-free affordable tasty wellness options. And yes, just because it doesn’t not contain alcohol – as a consumer, I believe I should not pay the same or more. Sorry, but that’s how it is.
